1. Being a user of Glowworms Home
The website is free for use by individuals, government organisations and not-for-profit organisations.
It is NOT for use by any for-profit or commercial businesses.
2. Code of conduct for potential receivers
You acknowledge that Glowworms Home’s purpose is to provide an online platform for donors to donate home care equipment or consumables to those in need. The website is only a listing service. There is no agency, partnership, joint venture or employment relationship intended or created by arising out of the website.
All information regarding equipment or consumables, such as equipment use instruction, warranty or equipment installation should be referred to the donor.
You acknowledge that Glowworms Home does not provide ongoing equipment maintenance, storage or warranty.
You acknowledge that Glowworms Home does not provide equipment pick-up or shipping service. The arrangement is made privately between you and the donor.
You acknowledge that Glowworms Home is not responsible for adverse events related to injuries that arise from using or installing the donated equipment.
You will not harvest or collect information about others without consent.
You will not distribute or send communications that contain spam, chain letters or pyramid schemes to others.
You agree to show respect and courtesy when you communicate with the donors.
3. Code of conduct for donors
You agree that you will post appropriate items and will NOT:
post any threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene or indecent material or item
post items which put others at risks, such as faulty equipment
provide false or misleading information
infringe any third-party right
You will provide all essential information about the equipment or consumables to the potential receiver (for example, warranty).
You acknowledge that Glowworms Home does not provide equipment pick-up or shipping service or storage.
You acknowledge that Glowworms Home is not responsible for adverse events related to injuries sustained by receivers from using the donated equipment.
You will not harvest or collect information about others without consent.
You will not distribute or send communications that contain spam, chain letters or pyramid schemes to others.
4. Your Account
To post an item or search for a needed item, you will need to register with Glowworms Home and set up an account with your email address and a password. The email address you register with will be your email address, and you are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password.
You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
5. Risks you assume by using the site
By entering the site, you will be deemed to have released and discharged Glowworms Home, represented by www.glowworms home.org.au for all claims, losses, and damages the user may incur as a result of using the website service.
You will be assuming all risks associated with the use of this site, including risks to your computer, software or data by any virus which might be transmitted, downloaded or activated via this or an external website and/or its contents.
